We design, import and market handcrafts produced by a resilient Indian Fair Trade business that employs women in need. Our partner, Premalaya, provides ongoing training for the artisans as well as educational support and medical care for their children.

Our collaboration with Premalaya is characterized by warm, trusting relationships, transparency, and high ethical standards.
Over the years, the project has provided training and jobs for thousands of local women.
Reliable, well-paid work brings financial independence, dignity, and self-respect. We pay above-market prices so the artisans can make a living wage with good, flexible working conditions.
Premalaya Handicrafts has been a Fair Trade member since 2001, the inception of Fair Trade Forum – India.
The Handicrafts center offers a warm and welcoming community to women who have been discriminated against in their villages, simply because they are widows. Often poor and of low caste, the women depend on the work at Premalaya for their survival.
We partner with the Premalaya Handicrafts Society in South India to design, import and market high-end, handcrafted home goods, clothing and accessories.
